ERSI Group supplied, manufactured and assembled industrial corrugated steel reinforcements.

The work is located in the province of Chiriquí, near the border with Costa Rica. The objective of the project is the hydroelectric exploitation of the waterfall of the Chiriquí Viejo river, which has an estimated output of 58 MW.

The project consists of the construction of a gravity dam and loose materials, 56 m high and 405 m in length. The dam consists of two landfills and 3 machine rooms.

The work is completed with the refurbishment of the access roads to the dam, a bridge over the Chiriquí river, a power canal of 2.1 km in length, the loading chamber and intake for the machine room and a discharge channel of approximately 110 m in length used to send the water back to the Chiriquí Viejo river.
