R+D+i

R + D + i

Historically, the priority objective of ERSI Group’s business strategy has been to achieve innovations that minimise customer costs and timelines. We have achieved this designing prefabrication or assembly systems that have marked the difference with our competitors.

The big development in infrastructures experienced in Europe in recent years has been the backdrop for our innovation. Taking part in emblematic and very complex works has given us the chance to show our customers that we can meet deadlines and, often, anticipate them. This has been possible because we have overcome the barriers that we faced sharing with our customers all the knowledge of the ERSI Group, led by the R&D&i department, to find the optimal solution.

Our R&D&i Department is in close contact with the company’s other departments: in addition to the customer service, it aims to solve problems that may arise in the various teams of ERSI Group and focus on continuous improvement. Together with the engineering department, it studies the rationalisation of the reinforcement of the projects (that improves their design) and the streamlining of their assembly. Sometimes with simple solutions. Sometimes with more complex and innovative solutions.

Our commitment to research, development and innovation is manifested by the increase in investment and effort in R&D&i that, year after year, ERSI Group makes. This effort materialises in improvements in productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, safety at work, obtaining new and improved materials and products and in the design of more efficient productive processes or systems.

PROJECTS

Our participation in projects is carried out through internal initiatives of ERSI Group, in collaboration with other companies in the industry and also through agreements with universities in the technology field.

BREVETS

Another of the objectives of ERSI Group is developing patents that materialise our advances in research in legally protected patents.

At present, we have consolidated 3 patents owned by ERSI Group, although there are others in the handling process:

False tunnel manufacturing procedure.

ADVANTAGES:

Minimisation of deadlines: adherence to deadlines for the customer.

Time using cranes is reduced to a minimum.

There is greater safety for the operators.

They do not affect other work stoppages of the worksite.

Procedure for obtaining supports of piers and tools for its implementation.

ADVANTAGES:

Helps us to reduce the number of operators.

Eliminates work at heights with the consequent increase in safety.

Improves geometric control of the works.

Improves quality and reliability of the works.

Eliminates the need for auxiliary elements for assembly at heights.

It gives us independence with respect to the other jobs on site.

Asymmetric reinforcement for retainer piles and machine for their manufacture.

ADVANTAGES:

Savings of up to 50-60% in reinforcements.

Reduction in splices to be made.

Improvement in construction speed.
