San Chinarro Shopping Centre
Located in the north of Madrid, next to the A-1 motorway, it was conceived as one of the largest commercial developments in the capital, with over 300,000 m² of floor space spread across three buildings ranging from 3 to 6 storeys and three underground levels. The structure was constructed entirely of reinforced concrete using 32 cm thick solid slabs and spans between columns of up to 8 metres
To meet the demanding construction deadlines and achieve high production rates, ERSIGROUP contributed by supplying and installing prefabricated, industrialised reinforcement. Special panels and bespoke reinforcement manufactured in an industrial plant were used, optimising the installation processes and ensuring the systematic and precise placement of the corrugated steel. Thanks to this methodology, structural work progressed at a rate of up to 1,800 m² per day, with projections exceeding 2,200 m² per day
The prefabrication of columns, beams, punching shear reinforcement and buttresses improved productivity, reduced construction times and enhanced safety on site. Furthermore, ERSIGROUP implemented technical solutions tailored to specific areas of the structure, including slabs with diagonal arrangements and helical ramps of great geometric complexity. The use of prefabricated reinforcement ensured high-quality workmanship, full traceability of the steel and strict dimensional control throughout all construction phases
