It is the longest bridge in Europe with a length of 18 km. In the 18 km of length we can distinguish several structures including the Suspension Bridge and the Central Viaduct

The former has a span between pylons of 420 m and the latter is the longest of the bridge with 6.5 km

It is the longest road bridge in Europe

The reinforcement prefabrication methods made it possible to construct 18 km of bridge in a record time of two years

KEY FEATURES:

• Piles with diameters ranging from 1,700 to 2,200 mm, using steel bars with diameters from 40 to 56 mm and a 16 mm helix
• Precast caissons measuring 28.00 x 8.00 x 5.00 m
• Pile caps with a width of up to 3.00 metres
