Oran High-Speed Rail
The Oran Tramway is one of the most significant urban transport infrastructures developed in Algeria to improve metropolitan mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the country’s second-largest city. The project was conceived as a modern, high-capacity light rail system designed to transport up to 90,000 passengers per day, with an estimated annual capacity of 88 million passengers. The infrastructure comprises an 18.7 km double-track tramway line, incorporating 32 stations, 11 electrical substations, two viaducts, and one underpass, forming a technically complex urban transport corridor
From the perspective of fabricated reinforcing steel, the project required high levels of engineering precision and construction planning to support the simultaneous execution of linear infrastructure, stations, viaducts and other major structural elements distributed along the entire alignment. The wide variety of structural components required the fabrication of bespoke reinforcement for foundations, slabs, retaining walls, columns, abutments, bridge decks and ancillary structures, ensuring complete traceability and a continuous supply of reinforcing steel in accordance with the construction programme
ERSIGROUP participated in the supply, fabrication and installation of industrial reinforcing steel, implementing industrialized manufacturing processes and specialized logistics solutions that optimized production efficiency, reduced installation times and ensured the highest quality standards throughout the execution of the structural works. Off-site fabrication, combined with carefully planned phased deliveries, provided a continuous reinforcement supply adapted to the simultaneous progress of multiple construction fronts, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of the project within the required schedule
The combination of detailed engineering, industrialized reinforcement fabrication and specialized logistics consolidated ERSIGROUP‘s participation in one of the most important urban railway infrastructure projects developed in North Africa, demonstrating the company’s capability to successfully deliver international transport projects through advanced fabricated reinforcing steel solutions
