The modernisation of the refinery of Petro-Perú in Talara will allow increasing the refining capacity of the plant from 65,000 to 95,000 barrels per day and the construction of high-technology process units.

This modernisation includes the construction of a new refinery, with facilities for the desulphurisation of fuels and a refining scheme with a Flexicoking Unit, that will make Talara the first one to have this technology in Latin America.
