At, ERSIGROUP innovation has always been an essential pillar of our strategy. Our goal has been—and continues to be—to develop solutions that reduce costs and execution times for our clients, while providing efficiency, safety, and sustainability in every project.

Over the years, we have designed prefabrication and assembly systems that have marked a turning point in the execution of reinforced concrete structures, clearly setting us apart from the competition.

The intense development of infrastructure worldwide has been the perfect setting to test our innovative capacity. Participating in emblematic and highly complex technical projects has allowed us to demonstrate that we can meet the most demanding deadlines —and in many cases, even beat them— thanks to the accumulated knowledge of ERSIGROUP, led by our R&D&I department, which works across all teams to achieve the optimal solution for each challenge.

Our R&D&I department works closely with the other departments in the company, especially with the detailed engineering, industrial and on-site assembly departments. Its work focuses both on continuous improvement and on the development of technical solutions that optimise internal processes and add value to both the company and its customers.


ERSIGROUP ‘s commitment to research, development and innovation is reflected in a growing investment in R&D&I, aimed at improving productivity, quality, occupational safety and customer satisfaction. This effort also translates into the development of new materials, products and construction systems that increase the efficiency and sustainability of our projects.

PROYECTS

Our participation in innovation projects is carried out through ERSIGROUP, ‘s own initiatives, collaborations with companies in the sector and agreements with universities and technology centres.

Some of the most representative projects are:

Technology applied to the assembly of reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures located in areas of high seismic risk (Summary in PDF)

Development of tools for the assembly and positioning of passive reinforcement in reinforced tunnels.

Development of new prefabrication systems for prefabricated caissons for submerged tunnels.

Development of reinforcement moulds with methodology for the assembly and formwork of steel reinforcement.

New industrialised manufacturing process for double concentric reinforcement for piles

Development of tools and methodology for lifting prefabricated elements

New method for designing and stiffening piles in diaphragm walls

PATENTS

One of ERSIGROUPs strategic objectives is to transform advances in research into registered patents that protect and consolidate our technical knowledge.

We currently have three consolidated patents of our own, in addition to others in the process of being filed:

  • EManufacturing process for false tunnels.
  • EProcess for obtaining pile climbers and tools for their implementation.
  • EAsymmetrical reinforcement for retaining piles and machine for its manufacture.
