𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣: 𝗟𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻 the construction site, not 𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘀, 𝗻𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗼… 𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗿
Yesterday, the national newspaper La Razón highlighted the role of 𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 in this paradigm shift towards infrastructure designed to last for centuries, not decades
The article focuses on a technical and strategic challenge: moving from structures with a service life of 100 years to solutions capable of lasting 500 years, through construction management, innovation in materials and advanced digitalisation
Some key technical aspects that define this transformation:
– Improving the durability of the concrete-steel system by directly addressing corrosion processes
– Integrating robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence to ensure millimetre-level precision in assembly and installation
– Active participation in European R&D&I projects (Horizon Europe)
– Industrialisation and digitalisation of the construction process to increase safety and efficiency
– Drastic reduction in emissions by eliminating demolition and reconstruction cycles
The message is clear: The future of engineering does not lie in building more, but in delivering higher quality, better control and a full lifecycle perspective
𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣, always where the future is being shaped
We would like to thank Enrique Hernández-Montes (UGR) and Professor Palermo (University of Bologna) for their technical collaboration; their contributions have significantly enhanced the methodological rigour and development of this work
