The Barro Blanco dam is located on the Tabasará river, in the province of Chiriquí. It is a hydroelectric energy project in Panama, with an installed capacity of approximately 29 MW and an estimated annual energy production of 135,000 MWh. It consists of a 55 m high (61 m including the base) dam with a built-in power that will lead to a reservoir of 235 ha (= 2.35 km2) at 103 m above sea level.
