The newspaper La Razón has published an in-depth interview with Guillermo Perea, CEO of ERSIGROUP, showcasing the company’s international trajectory and its strong commitment to innovation in the field of reinforcing steel. The article reviews ERSIGROUP’s involvement in some of the world’s most iconic infrastructure projects — such as the Öresund Bridge, the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the Vidin-Calafat Bridge, the Panama Canal expansion, and the undergrounding of Madrid’s M-30 — as well as the recognition of the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (Philippines), awarded by IABSE as the best innovation project in construction.
The feature emphasizes how ERSIGROUP’s detailed engineering allows for the optimization of existing designs, reducing steel consumption and, consequently, CO₂ emissions — combining structural efficiency, economic savings, and environmental responsibility. It also highlights the development of asymmetric piles, already successfully implemented in the Riyadh Metro, and the company’s close collaboration with universities and research centres through both European and national projects. Altogether, this positions ERSIGROUP as a strategic partner in driving more sustainable, efficient, and innovative civil works on a global scale.
