The project has been conceived to connect Panama City with Panama Oeste Province, crossing the Panama Canal via a new railway bridge and providing a high-capacity public transport solution for one of the country’s fastest-growing metropolitan corridors. The line extends approximately 24.5 km, comprises 14 stations, and has been designed as a straddle-type monorail system, selected for its high passenger capacity, operational reliability and adaptability to the challenging urban and geotechnical conditions along the alignment Virtually the entire alignment is supported on elevated reinforced concrete viaducts, forming a highly repetitive structural system consisting of deep foundations, large-diameter bored piles, reinforced concrete columns, precast pier caps, portal beams and bridge deck structures. The industrialization of these structural elements proved essential for maintaining the demanding production rates required across multiple simultaneous construction fronts. The project also incorporates innovative engineering solutions such as Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) reinforcement in selected structural components, improving durability and long-term performance in aggressive environmental conditions From the perspective of fabricated reinforcing steel, Line […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4408253,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"project_category":[67,107],"project_tag":[94],"class_list":["post-4408252","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","project_category-civil-work","project_category-subway","project_tag-panama"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408252","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4408252"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408252\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4408278,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408252\/revisions\/4408278"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4408253"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4408252"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"project_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_category?post=4408252"},{"taxonomy":"project_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_tag?post=4408252"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
