Commissioned in 2014, the project became the backbone of the subsequent expansion of the Panama Metro system The infrastructure comprises an approximately 15.8 km railway line, including 14 stations, with a significant portion constructed on elevated reinforced concrete viaducts, complemented by underground sections incorporating tunnels and underground stations. The system was designed to accommodate a passenger demand exceeding 15,000 passengers per hour per direction, providing a high-capacity transport solution for the rapidly growing metropolitan area From a structural engineering perspective, the project involved the construction of elevated viaducts, stations, deep foundations, bored piles, bridge piers, precast pier caps, girders, precast segmental elements and a wide range of reinforced concrete ancillary structures. The repetitive nature of these structural components enabled the implementation of advanced industrialized fabrication […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4408181,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"project_category":[67,107],"project_tag":[94],"class_list":["post-4408180","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","project_category-civil-work","project_category-subway","project_tag-panama"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408180","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4408180"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408180\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4408198,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/4408180\/revisions\/4408198"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4408181"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4408180"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"project_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_category?post=4408180"},{"taxonomy":"project_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ersigroup.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_tag?post=4408180"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
